“Every pastor, layman, parent, teenager...everyone must read this book. These practices have entered our churches in subtle and not so subtle means. Many years ago I was involved in a church Bible study group that used one of the subtle methods. The Lord was gracious to me and opened my eyes. Please share Stephanie's book and keep her in your prayers as she stands for God's truths, sharing her testimony so that others may respond to God's voice saying, 'Come out of her my people..."

“A fascinating book-as I read I began to understand the illusion (too) many christians are using in an attempt to draw closer to the Lord through prayer. I believe prayer is heard and valued by Christ "anytime, anywhere" and for me to have to set up a focus and an atmosphere in order to be heard and respected by God was discouraging as the ultimate claim always was "because I am spending more time, I am closer to the Lord than others". Stephanie delivers a powerful life experience regarding this illusion, details of how one is deceived, and how and why one may approach prayer with simplicity and honesty.”

“A detailed and gripping account of how a sincere Christian can fall for an ancient and unbiblical form of meditation, better known today as "contemplative prayer." Millions of Christians are being deceived by this supposed higher and more exalted form of Christian prayer which is nothing more than re-packaged eastern Hindu and Catholic mystical rituals (Ignatius Loyola, Teresa of Ávila, Thomas Keating and more). Stephanie unpacks her personal journey while revealing the larger picture - the Emerging Church movement and its teachings promoted as Spiritual Formation. No matter where you are on your journey, you can learn what Stephanie learned - that the God of the Bible is faithful and is more than able to protect and deliver His own (John 8:32).”
